National Road Safety Action Grants Program

The following areas of the Australian Government’s National Road Safety Action Grants Program are now open for applications:

  • First Nations Road Safety
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Research and Data funding

Applications for these streams close at 11.59pm on Sunday, 31 March 2024.

The grants program provides non-infrastructure grants to deliver the implementation of the the National Road Safety Strategy 2021-30 and National Road Safety Action Plan 2023-25.

The Program is open to a range of organisations including not-for-profit and research, as well as local, state and territory governments.

The Program has five key focus areas critical to reducing fatalities and serious injuries on our roads:

  1. Community Education and Awareness, including workplace road safety (applications have closed for this stream)
  2. Vulnerable Road Users (applications have closed for this stream)
  3. First Nations Road Safety
  4. Technology and Innovation
  5. Research and Data
